Youth Programs

From the very beginning, the Youth Ambassador Program has been an integral part of Desert Town Hall- Indian Wells. Through comprehensive outreach to the schools of the Coachella Valley, the Youth Ambassador Program has provided all local public and private, high schools and colleges with some 150 complimentary tickets to each lecture. Students and educators enjoy a relaxed and interesting reception where they have an opportunity to talk and share with each other and often personally meet the evening's guest of honor.

We would like to thank the major sponsors listed below and the many individuals who financially support our youth programs. In addition, we thank our board of directors, volunteers, school districts and people like you who have made the programs so successful!

YOU can help our programs as well.  If you know you will not be able to attend one of our evening lectures just call our office and offer to donate your tickets to our youth.  Some students are able to attend the dinner and Q&A period because of the generosity of those who find they cannot stay the entire evening.

Students wishing to attend one of the evening programs should check with the principal at their school for further information.

Over the years, Town Hall has also produced speaker programs at local schools and other venues.  Students have had the opportunity to hear from a number of newsmakers from astronaut Sally Ride to oceanographer Robert Ballard.
