What is Desert Town Hall?
We are the desert's premier lecture series, bringing leaders from the world stage to our stage in Indian Wells.
Desert Forum, Inc. (which produces Desert Town Hall) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational organization.
The subscription series offers four programs each year. A limited number of tickets are sometimes available for individual programs.
The biggest and most influential names in the world have taken the stage in Indian Wells, creating lifetime memories for our subscribers. From President George W. Bush to British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, to the late Benazir Bhutto, the noted list of speakers in our history is indeed impressive.
Where is the event?
The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa is located on Indian Wells Lane in Indian Wells. Valet parking is included. Lectures are held in the Emerald Ballroom.

Can I buy a single event ticket?
The only way to guarantee that you will be able to attend any Desert Town Hall event is to become a season subscriber or sponsor. Most of our seats are filled in this way.
A limited number of tickets may become available before each program. Any tickets that become available will be sold two weeks prior to the event.
Where is the Emerald Ballroom?
The Emerald Ballroom is located at the rear of the resort property. Parking attendants will direct traffic to the rear of the hotel; signs and volunteers will direct you to the Emerald Ballroom.
Where is parking?
Valet parking is complimentary with your ticket. Plan to arrive at the resort early to alleviate the last-minute rush of cars.
Carpooling is encouraged. If you show up with four or more people, valets will give you priority service upon arrival and priority car retrieval upon departure.
To keep an orderly flow, there is no self-parking. Guests may be dropped off at the front of the hotel.
What time should I plan to arrive?
Unreserved ticket holders should plan to arrive as early as possible. Guests stake their place in line as early as 4:30 pm. Doors open at 5:00 pm. This year special programming will begin at 5:55 pm. Don't be late.
Reserved ticket holders should also plan to arrive as early as possible. Doors to reserved seating open at 5:15 pm.
What time is the lecture?
The program begins promptly at 6 pm and lasts for approximately one hour.
What happens after the lecture?
Dinner ticket holders are invited to the Rose Lawn for complimentary wine and drinks. The cocktail reception begins at 7 pm and continues to dinner.
What should students participating in Youth Town Hall expect?
Student and chaperone parking is in a specially designated parking adjacent to the hotel. Parking is designated off of Miles Avenue. Please try to carpool from your school.
Students should plan to arrive at 4:30 pm. The Youth Program begins at 5 pm in the Valencia Ballroom. Signs and student volunteers will direct you.
Students receive complimentary beverages and a light meal.
How do I participate in Youth Town Hall?
Invitations are issued to the principal of each school. Students are chosen at the principal's discretion. We encourage diversity and look forward to having as many students as possible participate. We like to see different students at each event.
We invite 150 students to each of our four events.
